Highlights:
- Alchemy Resources (ASX:ALY) pinpoints 10 high-priority gold targets at Lake Rebecca
- Exploration teams set for fieldwork in March 2025 to assess key tenements
- Project located in a gold-rich region near major discoveries
Alchemy Resources (ASX:ALY) has identified ten high-priority gold targets at its Lake Rebecca Project in Western Australia, marking a significant step forward in its exploration strategy. The company plans to commence a field assessment soon, focusing on tenements near the Lighthorse discovery and other regional targets.
The upcoming exploration program includes detailed mapping and sampling, with potential drilling to follow based on the results. This initiative follows a comprehensive review of the project, which confirmed its prospectivity due to the presence of regional-scale flexures along the Keith Kilkenny and Claypan shear zones.
Unlocking the Potential of Lake Rebecca
Lake Rebecca spans approximately 523km² in the Eastern Goldfields region, an area historically explored by major mining players. Previous exploration efforts by companies like BHP (ASX:BHP), Newmont (ASX:NEM), and Renaissance Minerals between 1960 and 1990 laid the groundwork for further discoveries. More recently, St Barbara (ASX:SBM) has conducted exploration activities targeting both gold and base metals.
Alchemy Resources' review highlights the project's strategic location, surrounded by notable gold discoveries, including OzAurum’s (ASX:OZM) Mulgabbie North Project and Kalgoorlie Gold Mining’s (ASX:KAL) Pinjin Project. These neighboring successes reinforce the potential of Lake Rebecca as a promising gold district.
Strategic Exploration Plans for 2025
CEO James Wilson emphasized the significance of the project’s location and the company’s commitment to advancing exploration efforts. He noted that the Lake Rebecca tenements cover sections of the Laverton Tectonic Zone, an area well known for its rich gold deposits.
“Alchemy’s project areas lie immediately south of major gold discoveries, and we see strong potential across our tenements. Our upcoming exploration activities are designed to systematically assess key target areas,” Wilson stated.
The company has scheduled field teams to be deployed in March 2025, focusing on in-depth mapping and sampling to refine target areas for future drilling. By leveraging its strategic position and historical data, Alchemy Resources is poised to make meaningful progress in unlocking the value of its assets.
With a market capitalisation of $9.42 million, Alchemy Resources continues to build momentum in Australia’s resource sector. Alongside Lake Rebecca, the company holds additional gold and base metals projects across New South Wales and Western Australia, strengthening its exploration portfolio.
