HITIQ (ASX:HIQ), an innovator in sports technology, has taken a significant leap forward in its mission to enhance athlete safety with the announcement of an exclusive global agreement with Shock Doctor, a world leader in mouthguard innovation. This collaboration introduces a new frontier in concussion management by embedding HITIQ’s advanced PROTEQT technology into Shock Doctor’s popular self-fit “boil and bite” mouthguards.
Global Reach for Concussion Monitoring
The landmark agreement allows HITIQ to integrate its cutting-edge PROTEQT system—a technology designed to aid in concussion detection and monitoring—into mouthguards that are widely used by athletes globally. By partnering with a well-established brand like Shock Doctor, HITIQ gains immediate access to a broad consumer base while embedding its tech into an everyday product already trusted for protection.
With production set to begin in 2025, the agreement outlines manufacturing targets of 20,000 units for the initial year, scaling to 100,000 units in 2026. These mouthguards will be distributed via early partnerships with organisations such as VAFA, AFL Barwon, and Westfield Sports High, marking the start of a broader commercial rollout.
Strategic Capital Raise for Growth
To support the rollout and broader business initiatives, HITIQ is undertaking a non-renounceable entitlement offer. Eligible shareholders are being offered 1 new share for every 3 currently held at an issue price of $0.022, along with 1 option for every 2 new shares. The goal is to raise up to approximately $2.92 million through the issuance of over 132 million new ordinary shares. The offer closes on 20 June 2025, and the options are set to expire on 30 December 2028.
Industry Response and Outlook
Executive Chair Earl Eddings expressed strong optimism about the partnership, calling it a defining milestone. The collaboration places HITIQ’s technology in the hands—and mouths—of everyday athletes through a trusted, globally recognized product. By pairing technology with accessibility, the company aims to reshape how contact sports approach player safety.
This agreement represents a strategic fusion of innovation and market reach, setting the stage for HITIQ to influence global standards in sports-related concussion management.
