Medical technology company ImpediMed Limited (ASX:IPD) believes in a strong commitment to confidentiality, integrity, and availability of its customers’ data. In alignment with this, ImpediMed has achieved HITRUST Certification, joining the select group of companies to pass the rigorous certification process.
“HITRUST is the benchmark for certification, providing our customers and their patients assurance their data is secure”, says Managing Director and CEO Mr Richard Carreon. He further added that the Company is very pleased with this outcome.
Notably, the significant market update set the IPD shares soar higher, and it was trading up by 8 per cent at $ 0.135, mid-day on 18 December 2020.
Significance of HITRUST Certification
ImpediMed has sought a risk management framework which encompasses the belief of adhering to confidentiality, integrity, and availability of its customers’ data. After a comprehensive process, it has finally achieved HITRUST Certification.
The grant places this strong Company firmly rooted in digital healthcare space, at the forefront of quality assurance and customer data protection. Besides, the certification gives the highest level of assurance in the Company’s systems integrity.
Further, Mr Richard Carreon approves the thought process that the HITRUST Certification will further streamline the Company’s sales process with major institutions beginning to require HITRUST as a prerequisite to conducting business.
