Surefire Resources continues its Copper Hill EM survey without delay
Survey targets conductive anomalies linked to copper sulphide mineralisation
Interpretation of EM data to inform drill targets near Yidby Gold Project
Exploration company Surefire Resources NL (ASX:SRN), listed on the All Ordinaries, has reported uninterrupted progress on its electromagnetic survey underway at the Copper Hill Project in Western Australia’s Murchison region. The company is focused on the identification of copper mineralisation through geophysical investigations, part of its broader exploration strategy across a prospective portfolio in the region.
The moving-loop ground electromagnetic (MLEM) survey is being conducted by Southern Geoscience Consultants, with a specific aim of delineating subsurface conductive anomalies related to copper sulphide systems.
MLEM System in Operation with No Survey Delays Reported
Surefire Resources has confirmed that the MLEM campaign is advancing on schedule with no operational setbacks. The SMARTem 24 system, known for its high sensitivity, is currently being utilised across a grid of nine north–south lines encompassing one hundred and twenty-five stations. Receptor stations are spaced to optimise coverage of key geochemical trends, aiding the definition of both priority and secondary infill zones.
According to the company, red-coded stations have been identified as high-priority lines, while secondary targets will be examined through black-coded infill lines. The survey outcomes are anticipated to inform priority drill testing across zones deemed prospective for copper enrichment.

Copper Hill Positioned Near Active Gold Exploration Hub
The Copper Hill Project lies just a few kilometres from the company’s ongoing drilling operations at the Yidby Gold Project. This proximity enhances the strategic importance of the site, particularly as the Murchison district continues to attract interest due to its polymetallic mineralisation style.
The Copper Hill area has yielded strong copper and zinc soil anomalies in past campaigns, with previous drill logs also noting the presence of copper sulphides and native copper. These findings, together with the current EM work, underpin Surefire’s aim to build a comprehensive geological model for the region.
Prospective VMS Geology Similar to Golden Grove Belt
Surefire Resources has highlighted geological similarities between Copper Hill and the nearby Golden Grove district, a well-known Volcanogenic Massive Sulphide (VMS) mineral system. The survey is expected to further clarify whether the geophysical signatures align with VMS-style mineralisation, potentially guiding future exploration phases.
The company plans to provide additional updates once EM data has been fully interpreted, enabling the delineation of high-priority zones for follow-up drilling. This aligns with its long-term focus on growing its copper exploration footprint in parallel with activity at Yidby.
