Highlights

  • Drilling at the Enmore Project has outlined a newly identified gold zone, enhancing the mineralization footprint.
  • The Sunnyside prospect reveals a down-dip extension of high-grade gold mineralization.
  • Early results from the ongoing drilling campaign are expected in April, with further exploration planned.

Koonenberry Gold (ASX:KNB) has reported an expansion of gold mineralization at the Enmore Project in New South Wales. Recent drilling has confirmed the presence of a second gold zone at the Sunnyside prospect, marking a significant development since acquiring the property.

The current exploration initiative has revealed visible gold within multiple zones, reinforcing the geological potential of the area. The second gold zone, interpreted as an extension of previous drill findings, indicates a significant mineralization footprint.

Expanding the Mineralization Footprint

The company is conducting a drilling campaign designed to assess gold mineralization at greater depths. The identified extension spans a considerable down-dip distance from an earlier drill hole, pointing to a broad mineralized system.

The drilling program aims to evaluate the structural controls influencing gold distribution. Previous exploration efforts did not fully test the dominant orientation of mineralization, highlighting new opportunities for further delineation.

Enmore Project is located south of a known gold-antimony mining area, adding to its geological significance.

Geological Insights and Mineralization Trends

The Sunnyside prospect is characterized by a fault system associated with a major geological interface. Mineralization has been identified within an extensive alteration zone, with gold hosted in proximity to structural features. The area includes a mix of rock types, with monzogranite formations to the north and sedimentary units to the south.

Initial drill results indicate mineralization remains open in multiple directions, showing increasing gold grades at deeper levels. The findings suggest a continuity in mineralization beyond the currently drilled zones.

Future Exploration Initiatives

Drilling results expected in April will guide the next phase of exploration. Koonenberry Gold is planning further drilling at Sunnyside to investigate mineralization continuity across different directions.

A broader geochemical program is also underway, focusing on additional prospects within the project area. With an expanded tenure covering a large landholding, the company continues to advance its exploration efforts.
