Riversgold Ltd (ASX:RGL) has begun 2025 with exciting developments from its Saint John Project, located in New Brunswick, Canada. The company has reported a significant batch of high-grade rock samples, revealing impressive copper, gold, silver, lead, and antimony mineralisation. These results highlight the potential of the Saint John Project to become a key multi-metal discovery in an underexplored region, situated just 50 kilometres from the US border.
The project area spans approximately 101 square kilometres and is showing promising results from various key prospects, including Hideaway, Little Lepreau, and Prince of Wales. At the Prince of Wales prospect, roadside cutting rock chip samples have yielded extraordinary assay results, with notable finds such as 10.55% copper, 9.5 g/t gold, 477 g/t silver, and 6.03% lead, alongside other high-grade samples featuring copper, silver, and antimony. These results complement Riversgold’s earlier announcement of a significant new copper discovery in Canada.
Exploration at Hideaway and Little Lepreau has also returned strong results. At Hideaway, copper assays have reached 1.43%, accompanied by 8.05 g/t silver, while gold assays in the same area show 1.70 g/t gold. Little Lepreau samples include copper and antimony grades of 0.27% and 0.15%, respectively, along with silver concentrations of up to 46.7 g/t. These findings support the company’s mineralisation models and validate previous exploration work in the region.
Riversgold's ability to explore year-round at the Saint John Project is a key advantage, especially considering its proximity to the city of Saint John, which provides easy access to the project. Exploration activities resumed promptly on January 3, 2025, following the holiday season, despite the Canadian winter conditions. The company's ongoing drone magnetic survey over the Little Lepreau Prospect and the submission of additional rock chip samples for analysis will further enhance the geological understanding of the project.
As 2025 unfolds, Riversgold remains committed to expanding its exploration efforts at the Saint John Project. The combination of strong mineralisation results, favorable infrastructure, and year-round access positions the project for continued success and promising discoveries in the months ahead.
