Highlights

  • High-Grade Gold Intercepts: Ordell Minerals has identified the McNabs East target at the Barimaia Gold Project in Western Australia as a high-priority site following strong results from a limited diamond drilling program.
  • Promising Results: Key intercepts include 22.70 metres at 4.09 g/t gold and a high-grade section of 1.0 metre at 36.00 g/t. Other results include 22.80 metres at 1.78 g/t Au and 12.00 metres at 1.85 g/t Au.
  • Extensive Gold Mineralisation: The drilling has defined a broad zone of gold mineralisation at shallow depths, indicating a promising gold system that remains open along strike and untested at depth.
  • Ongoing Exploration: The diamond drilling program, totaling 426 metres, is part of an ongoing effort to test the 2.5-kilometre strike of gold mineralisation at Barimaia, particularly in the western side of McNabs East.
  • Future Focus: Ordell's managing director Michael Fowler indicated that the Barimaia Gold Project will be a major focus throughout 2025, with further exploration to assess the full extent of the mineralisation.

Ordell Minerals Ltd (ASX:ORD) has made significant strides at its Barimaia Gold Project in Western Australia, uncovering extensive gold mineralisation at the McNabs East target following a diamond drilling program conducted in November and December 2024.

High-Grade Gold Intercepts

The results from the limited diamond drilling program include notable intercepts such as 22.70 metres at 4.09 g/t of gold from 71.3 metres, including a standout section of 1.0 metre at 36.00 g/t from 76.0 metres. Other key results include 22.80 metres at 1.78 g/t from 62.2 metres and 12.00 metres at 1.85 g/t from 152.0 metres, with a higher-grade section of 5.78 metres at 3.36 g/t.

Expanding Mineralisation Zone

These results highlight a substantial zone of gold mineralisation on the western side of McNabs East, with the mineralisation remaining open along strike and untested at depth. The total drilling effort consisted of 426 metres and is part of a broader exploration program to test the 2.5-kilometre strike extent of gold mineralisation at shallow depths across the Barimaia Gold Project.

2025 Exploration Focus

Ordell's Managing Director, Michael Fowler, expressed excitement over the results, noting that the company is now set for an active year of exploration at Barimaia. The ongoing drilling and analysis will focus on further defining the geometry, lithologies, and orientation of the mineralisation, confirming the potential for substantial gold resources in this region.

The Barimaia Gold Project is located in the Murchison region of Western Australia, a historically rich area for gold exploration, making this a significant development for Ordell Minerals as they continue to expand their exploration efforts throughout 2025.
