WAM Leaders (ASX:WLE), a listed investment company, has announced the reappointment of Melinda Snowden as a board member. Snowden will replace Lindsay Mann, a founding director of WAM Leaders, who has stepped down from his role. This move is expected to further strengthen the board’s leadership as the company focuses on its growth and operational strategies.

Snowden is no stranger to WAM Leaders, having previously served as an independent director on the board from March 2016 to June 2023. Her reappointment marks her return to the board, bringing her extensive experience in finance and governance back to the table. She officially resumes her role starting today.

In early trading following this announcement, WAM Leaders’ shares showed a slight decrease of 0.4%, trading at $1.26. Despite this, the company continues to focus on maintaining its position in the market.

Leadership Experience

Currently, Snowden is the chair of Megaport (ASX:MP1), a prominent Network as a Service (NaaS) provider. She assumed this role in June, demonstrating her expertise in guiding companies in fast-evolving industries. In addition to her role with Megaport, Snowden serves as a non-executive director at Temple & Webster Group (ASX:TPW) and Brighte Capital, showcasing her versatility in contributing to various sectors.

Before her tenure in corporate governance, Snowden had an extensive career as an investment banker. She held notable positions at Grant Samuel, Merrill Lynch, and Goldman Sachs, further enhancing her credentials in financial strategy and capital markets.

Lindsay Mann’s Departure

Lindsay Mann, who has been with WAM Leaders since its inception in 2016, leaves behind a legacy as a founding director. Under his leadership, the company has established itself as a key player among listed investment firms. His resignation marks the end of an era for the company, with Snowden now set to contribute to the next phase of its growth.

Shareholders will have the opportunity to vote on Snowden’s formal appointment during the 2025 Annual General Meeting. Her return is expected to bring renewed focus on the company’s strategic initiatives and governance excellence.

With her diverse experience across sectors and proven leadership, Snowden’s reappointment reflects WAM Leaders’ commitment to strengthening its board and ensuring long-term growth.
