Alkane Resources Ltd (ASX:ALK) has recently reported exciting outcomes from its comprehensive underground drilling campaign at the Tomingley Gold Operations located in Central West New South Wales. The initiative aims to both expand the resource base and enhance grade control, demonstrating a promising trajectory for future mining endeavors.
The Tomingley project, spearheaded by Managing Director Nic Earner, has identified multiple new high-grade gold lodes, particularly at the Caloma One and Roswell deposits. Notable results include a striking 3.1 meters grading at 196.95 grams per tonne gold at Caloma One and a significant 58 meters grading at 11.59 grams per tonne at Roswell.
This underground exploration not only supports the potential for resource expansion but also boosts the confidence in the economic viability of these new zones. The ongoing drilling at various deposits within the Tomingley operations underscores the site's potential, with discoveries remaining open both at depth and along strike.
At Caloma One, the drilling program wrapped up with 71 holes drilled over 15,264 meters. This extensive drilling campaign has been pivotal in testing mineralized structures adjacent to existing resources, leading to the intersection of multiple lodes and the identification of significant gold deposits.
Meanwhile, the Roswell deposit has also delivered promising results from its infill diamond drilling program. High-grade gold intercepts have been identified from lodes 2 and 6, with results expected to bolster reserve updates and facilitate future stope development. The Roswell and San Antonio deposits collectively extend over a 1.5-kilometer mineralized corridor, further highlighting the expansive nature of the gold-bearing zones.
As Alkane Resources Ltd (ALK) continues its aggressive exploration strategy, the focus remains on expanding the underground gold resource base to support ongoing production capabilities. This strategic approach aims to secure the long-term sustainability and profitability of the Tomingley operations, with anticipation of mining these areas in the years to come. The company's commitment to thorough evaluation and potential further drilling promises a bright future for its shareholders and the local community.
