Trigg Minerals appoints technical advisor to support downstream processing for Antimony Canyon
David Fourie brings extensive experience in clean smelting and metallurgical project delivery
Company aims to build a vertically integrated, net zero antimony supply chain in the US
Trigg Minerals Ltd (ASX:TMG), listed on the All Ordinaries, has appointed veteran metallurgist David Fourie as technical advisor to guide development of the Antimony Canyon Project in Utah. The appointment aligns with Trigg’s broader objective of establishing a vertically integrated, net zero antimony supply chain in the western hemisphere.
The Antimony Canyon Project is positioned as a strategic asset in the global critical minerals landscape, with downstream processing and clean smelting forming key components of the project's development pathway.
Industry Expert Joins to Guide Clean Smelting Strategy
David Fourie brings a wealth of experience spanning more than two decades in pyrometallurgy and project execution. His background includes serving as Chief Operating Officer at a globally recognised antimony processing company, which Trigg describes as the largest antimony roaster outside China. His expertise spans technical operations, environmental performance, and commercial strategy — a combination viewed as essential for delivering Trigg’s clean energy ambitions.
Trigg’s Managing Director Andre Booyzen highlighted Fourie’s reputation as a leader in antimony processing, noting his deep understanding of the requirements for modern, low-emission smelter design.
Focus on Net Zero Critical Minerals Supply Chains
The Antimony Canyon Project is part of Trigg’s focus on contributing to global critical minerals supply resilience, with particular emphasis on delivering metals processed with ESG-aligned methods. The company is committed to reducing the environmental footprint of strategic mineral production and enhancing security of supply outside traditional jurisdictions.
By tapping into Fourie’s specialised knowledge, Trigg aims to define a scalable pathway for clean antimony processing, leveraging localised production and supply capabilities within the United States.
Vertical Integration Strategy Gains Momentum
The appointment of a downstream processing expert reflects Trigg’s intention to establish a fully integrated value chain for antimony. This includes exploration, development, and clean processing of antimony ores — all underpinned by sustainable engineering and supply transparency.
The company is currently advancing technical studies for Antimony Canyon while integrating ESG frameworks into project planning. Internal teams are expected to collaborate with Fourie to shape infrastructure designs that align with low-emission and resource-efficient principles.
Positioning in the Global Critical Minerals Sector
Trigg Minerals continues to expand its footprint in the critical minerals space, with antimony playing a pivotal role in flame retardants, alloys, and battery technologies. The company’s focus remains on assets that contribute to resilient supply chains for strategic materials and support low-carbon industrial applications.
With Antimony Canyon positioned in a well-established mining jurisdiction, Trigg is progressing its plans through a mix of technical capability, strategic planning, and sustainability-focused development goals. The latest leadership addition strengthens the company’s commitment to delivering future-ready infrastructure for critical minerals processing.
