Strategic Role of Latin America: The Latin American market is poised for significant growth in green hydrogen and renewable energy, presenting opportunities for the integration of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles and infrastructure.
Pure Hydrogen (ASX:PH2) has broadened its global distribution network by signing a non-exclusive distribution agreement with GreenH2 LATAM. The agreement, which spans 36 months, establishes a framework for distributing hydrogen fuel cell trucks, buses, hydrogen production and refueling infrastructure, and hydrogen fuel cell generators across Mexico, Latin America, and Africa.
The deal stipulates that GreenH2 LATAM will place orders for at least 20 vehicles within 12 months, provided Pure Hydrogen ensures that the vehicles comply with all applicable laws and regulations. GreenH2 LATAM is a Mexico City-based company focused on transforming the Latin American energy sector through sustainable green hydrogen solutions.
This agreement builds on Pure Hydrogen’s growing presence in North America, following earlier deals with ETHERO Truck + Energy in October and Riverview International Trucks in July. Pure Hydrogen Managing Director Scott Brown highlighted the company’s expanding dealership network and the significant interest in its zero-emission commercial vehicles. The company aims to convert this interest into binding sales in the near future.
GreenH2 LATAM's CEO, Héctor Sánchez Baena, noted that the collaboration enhances the company’s ability to deliver zero-emission solutions and aligns with its commitment to sustainable energy. The partnership is expected to help drive the transition to clean, high-performance energy solutions in the region.
Latin America, with its abundant natural resources and significant investments in renewable energy, offers a favorable environment for the expansion of green hydrogen initiatives. The region is rapidly growing in solar and wind energy production, providing a strong foundation for the adoption of zero-emission vehicles and related infrastructure. This trend presents an ideal opportunity for Pure Hydrogen to integrate its technology into the region’s clean energy future.
