- Energy Metals and Elevate Uranium report strong drilling results at Bigrlyi project.
- Drilling has revealed uranium grades exceeding 10,000 ppm U₃O₈ in multiple sub-deposits.
- Revised mineral resource estimate (MRE) expected after assay results are finalized.
Energy Metals (ASX:EME) and joint venture partner Elevate Uranium (ASX:EL8) continue to achieve significant progress at the Bigrlyi uranium project in the Northern Territory. The current mineral resource estimate (MRE) for the project stands at 6.32 million tonnes, with an average grade of 1,530 parts per million (ppm) U₃O₈, representing 21.3 million pounds of uranium.
Since the start of their latest drilling campaign in mid-July, Energy Metals has completed over 11,000 meters of reverse circulation and diamond drilling, focusing on three sub-deposits with promising potential for further resource growth.
The drilling campaign has delivered impressive results, with several drill holes revealing uranium concentrations exceeding 10,000 ppm U₃O₈. One notable highlight includes a core of 0.6 meters with a concentration of 12,600 ppm, encountered at a depth of 129.7 meters. The true width of the full intersection is estimated at 4.1 meters.
Energy Metals managing director Shubiao Tao expressed confidence in the ongoing success of the project. “The drilling results at Bigrlyi have been outstanding this year, with grades from the A2, A4, and A15 sub-deposits all exceeding 500 ppm,” Tao noted. He also emphasized that the results confirm the continuity of the deposits and enhance the potential for future resource growth.
The exploration team is awaiting chemical assay results from a commercial laboratory, which will be used to update wireframes and geological models. A revised MRE will follow once these processes are completed.
Looking ahead, Energy Metals and Elevate Uranium are planning further drilling campaigns at Bigrlyi and surrounding tenements in 2025. Drilling is expected to commence in the second quarter, after the end of the wet season in the Northern Territory.
The Bigrlyi joint venture continues to show strong potential for expanding uranium resources, driven by robust drilling results and ongoing exploration efforts from Energy Metals and Elevate Uranium.
