Highlights
- As per Tempest Minerals it’s Meleya Project stands out as Australia’s one of the most exciting base and precious metal exploration opportunities today.
- The project is part of the Yalgoo Greenstone Belt with outcropping supracrustal mafic and felsic ‘greenstone’ units present around some felsic to intermediate intrusions.
- TEM has been actively exploring at its 100% owned Meleya Project that has dozens of drill ready geological targets.
- Presently, drilling on its Clover target at the project site is one of the focus areas of the company.
Australia-based mineral exploration company, Tempest Minerals Limited (ASX:TEM) has released an update today detailing how the continued drilling is advancing at the Meleya Project.
The Meleya Project, part of Tempest Minerals’ flagship Yalgoo Portfolio, represents one of the most exciting greenfield projects in the industry today. It stretches over a footprint of over 900km2. Together with the state government co-funded (EIS) 2 program, the first two 1 holes were drilled earlier this year to have stratigraphic controls at the Orion Target. Both drill holes of approximately 1,730.5m had numerous zones of strong alteration and visual mineralisation.

Status of drilling program at Clover Target
At present, Tempest is focusing on drilling at its Clover target. A diamond hole (637.1m) WARDH75 has been completed with thick sequences of highly altered mafic geology and minor sulphides observed throughout the hole. A parallel RC program of up to 4,000m has begun testing the multi kilometre thickness and structures within a possibly demagnetised zone.
TEM is anticipating that this RC program will transition into a regional aircore and RC program of up to 13,000m designed to penetrate zones of cover and laterite weathering across the newly identified belt.

Progress made so far in exploration at Meleya
TEM has been actively exploring at its 100% Meleya Project where there are dozens of drill ready geological targets.
➢ Orion target - 2 x diamond drillholes (1,730m) - DHEM survey complete
➢ Ktulu - Large scale geochemical sampling program commenced
➢ Master target - initial 1 hole reconnaissance drilling program completed at the Master Target
➢ Clover target - First drillhole WARDH75 complete (637.1m diamond) - ~4000m RC program commenced
As part of its next move, Tempest Minerals aims to complete Clover RC program, begin Regional AC program and continue the ongoing data acquisition, assessment and fieldwork including soil sampling.
TEM shares were trading at AU$0.028 apiece on 28 October 2022.
