The Star Entertainment Group Limited

The Star Entertainment Group Limited (ASX: SGR) owns and operates casinos and hotels. The company offers services and amenities, such as gaming facilities, nightclubs, bars, restaurants, exhibition centres. The Star Entertainment Group conducts business in Australia.

The company has lately stated that one of the directors of the company, Mr. Matt Bekier, who held 1,203,822 ordinary shares and 1,429,366 performance rights, acquired 2,498 ordinary shares and 668,203 performance rights Under Dividend Reinvestment Plan and Grant of Performance Rights under the Employee Performance Plan, for a cash consideration of $4.38 per ordinary share as on 3 April 2019. For the half year ended 31 December 2018, the revenue from ordinary activities came in at $1,150.1 million, witnessing a fall of 3.20% on the pcp. However, the profit from ordinary activities after tax attributable to members of the parent rose by an astounding 351.4% on the pcp. Hence, considering the profit performance, the directors had declared an interim dividend of 10.5 cents per share fully franked at the company tax rate of 30%, which was paid on 3 April 2019.

On the stock-performance front, the stock has posted the YTD return of -5.15%. At market close on 9th April 2019, the stock of the company traded at a price of A$4.47, up 5.42% during the day’s trade with a market capitalisation of A$ 3.89 billion. Aveo Group (ASX: AOG) develops and manages retirement villages and invests in and manages the office and commercial properties along with providing funds management and other property services.

For the half-year ended 31 December 2018, Aveo’s sales were constant written at an average of 19 sales/week, while retirement unit pricing remained steady. The half-year was a challenging period for the property market at large. The company’s underlying profit came in at $12 million for HY19, driven by the number of unit settlements and is an indication of the broader property market downturn.

The management expects a better second half. The group expects gross profit will be more weighted towards the second half of the year for both major and minor developments.

Beach Energy Limited

Beach Energy Limited (ASX:BPT) explores, develops and produces oil and natural gas.

The company stated that an MoU has been executed between Key Cooper Basin Pty Ltd with Santos Limited and its relevant subsidiaries and subsidiaries of Beach Energy Limited for the processing of gas from Key’s Tanbar Gas Project in ATP 924, to be processed into sales gas. This will then be supplied to the east coast Australian gas market.

For the six months ended 31 December 2018, the revenues from ordinary activities increased by 169% to come in at $1,057.2 million. Also, the NPAT for the period attributable to members increased by 196% to come in at $282.9 million. This performance was achieved on the back of the higher oil and gas sales volumes in H1 FY19, driven by the Lattice acquisition, in addition to higher oil and gas prices and a lower average A$/US$ exchange rate.

On the stock-performance front, the stock has posted the YTD return of 56.59%. At market close on 9th April 2019, the stock of the company traded at a price of A$2.130, up 5.446% during the day’s trade with a market capitalisation of A$4.6 billion. The stock opened the trading day at A$2.050, reached its intraday high of A$ 2.130, and touched the intraday low of A$2.050, with a daily volume of 9,004,762. It had a 52-week high price of A$2.260 and a 52 weeks low price of A1.270, with an average volume of, 10,139,308.
