The program has successfully generated coated spherical graphite and enhanced HPA-doped coated spherical graphite. Interestingly, both the products have met the technical specifications required by leading battery manufacturers.

Outstanding results

Furthermore, the study also signifies that the electrochemical performance on the coated spherical graphite and HPA-doped coated spherical graphite have achieved higher first charge capacity, increased battery charge efficiency, and reduced first cycle loss.

Comparatively, the results outperform the current industry standards. The significant results are illustrated below:

The studies on the coated anode resulted in a reversible capacity in the order of 353.4 mAh/g with irreversible first cycle loss of a mere 5.2%, much superior compared to the industry benchmarks.

Likewise, the reversible capacity of the FYI HPA-doped coated anode was measured at 362.7 mAh/g with first cycle loss of 4.5%. The performance of both the products outperformed current industry-standard material.
