June Quarter Results

On July 29, 2019, Powerwrap published its June 2019 quarter report where it highlighted that its Funds Under Administration (FUA) increased to $8.1 Bn which is $550 Mn above the prospectus forecast. The strong result can be attributed to a combination of new inflows and positive market performance during the quarter. The FUA increased by $520 Mn and $976 Mn in the June Quarter and FY2019, respectively. The Net Inflows was reported at $199 Mn and $575 Mn in the June Quarter and FY2019, respectively, which was driven predominantly by Escala and a new Tickr client. During the quarter, PWL signed 4 new service agreements with advice groups, Sempre, Consilium, Banyan Tree and Candour Capital.

Signed Binding Scheme Implementation Deed with FNZ

On July 29, 2019, GBT announced that it has entered into a binding scheme implementation deed with FNZ where FNZ will acquire 100% of the shares in GBST by way of a Scheme of Arrangement. The Agreement states that GBT shareholders will receive A$3.85 in cash per share, which will be reduced by the amount of any special dividend of up to A$0.35 per share. The Scheme Consideration values the equity of GBT at approximately A$269 million (assuming existing options and performance rights vest in full) and represents an attractive premium of:

  • 94.9% to the undisturbed closing price of GBST shares on 11 April 2019, being the last close price prior to the initial proposal from Bravura Solutions Limited dated 12 April 2019; and
  • 106.2% to the 30-trading day volume weighted average price to 11 April 2019.

On July 26, 2019, XPE announced that it has received refundable Tax Offsets for Research and Development from the Australian Taxation Office and AusIndustry under the R&D Tax Incentive program. Working with professional advisers, the Company submitted and received by way of R & D refundable tax offset $1,634,607 for the 2017/2018 income year. The company is expected to begin discussions with the Australian Tax office to negotiate a mutually acceptable payment plan with respect to the relevant amount of tax payable. It expects that these matters would be resolved in their favour in the due course.

On July 29, 2019, WSP published its Q4FY19 activities report, where it highlighted that its customer cash receipts increased by 22% on pcp to A$8.3 Mn. During the period, WSP launched developers.whispir.com extending its Application Programming Interface (API) proposition for developers. Company’s cash and cash equivalent balance at the end of June ’19 Quarter was reported at $26.8 Mn, which is ahead of expectations as a result of better than forecast working capital performance driven by higher customer receipts and expense savings.

YPB fast-tracks to 100 million ProtectCodes TM issued

On July 29, 2019, YPB announced that it has reached an important milestone of over 100 Mn proprietary QR codes, known as ‘ProtectCodes’, as compared to 75 Mn ‘ProtectCodes’ as announced on May 28, 2019, which was reached in around 24 months from the launch of ‘Connect’. These ‘ProtectCodes’ were issued to existing customers of company’s ‘Connect’ platform, which is YPB’s proprietary software platform.
