Newly-elected Liberal MP Jess Wilson sees reforming the party and appealing to Victorians of all ages as one of her top priorities over the next four years.
Ms Wilson, the opposition's spokeswoman for finance, economic reform and home ownership is one of few millennials in the Liberal party room.
She's been touted as a potential future leader, after she fought off challenges from Labor and a teal Independent to claim the once safe seat of Kew.
"We've got a lot of work to do when it comes to rebuilding the Liberal Party, to making sure that as we go to the next election we're putting forward a positive plan, a strong plan, a plan that resonates with all Victorians, all generations," Ms Wilson told AAP.
"Home ownership and housing affordability is going to be a focus of that so that's going to be my focus over the next few years."
The former Josh Frydenberg staffer made the comments during an orientation for politicians entering Spring Street for the first time, ahead of the opening of the 60th Parliament on Tuesday.

Being an MP will be his first office job and admits some unnamed famous faces from his past have questioned his career change.
"They've obviously reached out and said well done, (but) what are you doing? Are you stupid?" the Strictly Ballroom start said with a smile.
He said walking around parliament and meeting more than 40 other newly elected MPs drove home the enormity of his responsibilities.

The Liberals hold the seat on a 7.3 per cent margin and are expected to retain it, with its candidate Wayne Farnham sitting in the party room earlier this month.
If successful, it would give the coalition 28 lower house seats, one more than it won four years ago.
Premier Daniel Andrews would not confirm if Labor plans to run the same preselected candidate, Justin Seddon, or leave it vacant.
State parliament will return in earnest in early February, with a full 2023 sitting calendar and legislation to be introduced on Tuesday to be finalised during a cabinet meeting on Monday afternoon.
