On 31 July 2020, the ACCC has confirmed that there are more than 155,000 vehicles still on Australian roads fitted with potentially deadly Takata airbags, with 6 months recall window available for manufactures.
According to the latest data from the ACCC on the compulsory recall, approximately 180,000 airbags (~4.4% of all airbags subject to this recall) in over 155,000 vehicles (~5.1% of affected vehicles) are still to be replaced.
