Australian exploration company, Raiden Resources Limited (ASX:RDN DAX: YM4) has informed that it has appointed Strategic Metallurgy Pty Ltd to conduct initial metallurgical test work at Mt Sholl Ni-Cu-PGE Project. It is stated that the initial metallurgical test work will focus on producing saleable nickel and copper sulphide concentrates. The test work will also incorporate the evaluation of the optimal path to recover PGE by-products.

Strategic Metallurgy
Strategic Metallurgy was part of the Azure Minerals Andover Ni-Cu project, which is 18km east of Mt Sholl. In Azure Minerals’ project, Strategic Metallurgy was involved in metallurgical test work and process flowsheet development.
Strategic Metallurgy team includes Nicholas ‘Nick’ Vines, who carries an experience of 16 years in the mining industry. Mr. Vines was also involved in numerous advisory roles for companies like Forrestania, Radio Hill, Nickel West and Savannah Nickel.
Early discussions with downstream producers
Raiden states that it is in initial discussions with downstream producers with the aim to assess the potential for producing battery grade nickel sulphate. The company intends to provide five to ten kilograms of saleable nickel concentrate material, which matches the characteristics required to assess the potential for nickel sulphate production.
