Highlights:
- Mount Burgess (ASX:MTB) has updated on the expansion of thickness of the Nxuu deposit’s mineralisation due to the contribution of vanadium pentoxide, germanium, and gallium.
- Mineralised intersections of V2O5, Ge and Ga add an average of 13.9m per hole in the thickness of the Nxuu Deposit’s mineralisation.
- It represents an addition of 88% to the average 15.8m mineralised intersections of zinc, lead and silver.
- Out of the 70 drill holes used for Mineral Resource Estimate, the company has assayed only 43 holes for V2O5, while 40 were assayed for Ge and Ga.
In a significant development, Australian mineral exploration player Mount Burgess Mining NL (ASX:MTB) has highlighted the expansion of mineralisation thickness at the Nxuu Deposit. The development follows the contribution of vanadium pentoxide (V2O5), germanium (Ge) and gallium (Ga) to the deposit.
As per the company, the mineralised intersections of vanadium pentoxide, germanium and gallium average 13.9m per hole and add 88% to the average 15.8m mineralised intersections of zinc, lead and silver.

The figure above shows the Nxuu Deposit average intersections per hole of Kalahari Sand, barren or below-cut grade quartz wacke, drill holes assayed for vanadium pentoxide, germanium, zinc, lead, silver, and gallium.
Of the 70 drill holes used for Mineral Resource Estimate, the company assayed 40 for germanium and gallium and 43 for vanadium pentoxide.
The company has highlighted that the 43 drill holes have an average depth to barren dolostone basement of 42.7 metres, based on applying low cuts for all the minerals.
Average drill hole composition
The average composition in the 43 drill holes is as follows:

The data represented an additional 13.9m average per hole of vanadium pentoxide, germanium and gallium mineralisation, lying above and below the zinc, lead and silver mineralisation (15.8m average per hole). This denotes an additional 88% of mineralised metres.
With the addition of this 13.9m, the overall average per hole vanadium pentoxide, germanium, gallium, zinc, lead and silver mineralisation for 43 drill holes reaches to a value of 29.7m. It represents 69.6% of the average drill hole lengths to barren dolostone basement.
