Mineral explorer and developer Mount Burgess Mining NL (ASX: MTB) has shared the assembled data for 32 drill holes assayed for germanium (Ge) at the Nxuu Deposit in Botswana. Assaying for Ge has been conducted on samples collected during two drilling campaigns in 2017 and 2021 at the main zones of the Nxuu Deposit.
MTB informed that the results shared are based on applying a 3g/t low cut grade, considering the surge in Ge price.

MTB said that including the Ga/Ge/V2O5 extensions will decrease the waste to ore ratio potentially to less than one to one, while extending the overall mineralised zones beyond those of the Zn/Pb/Ag mineralisation zones.
The company now plans to undertake testwork on gallium and germanium.
