- A total of 15,845 termite mound samples have been collected regionally.
- The central anomalous corridor spans over 30km.
- Six new anomalous targets identified using permit-scale grid pXRF, taking total targets to 15.
- Final infill TM sampling is planned for the next dry season.
Haranga Resources Limited (ASX: HAR; FRA: 65E0) has successfully completed regional termite mound sampling across its entire Saraya Uranium Project to explore new prospects. With the final survey completed, termite mound data now covers 97% of Haranga’s 1,650 km² project area, utilising a 1000m by 100m grid.
A total of 15,845 samples were collected, out of the planned 16,344 samples. These samples were analysed using pXRF to measure eU ppm readings. and other multi-element results for 39 elements alongside uranium.
Anomalous pXRF readings ranged from 7 to 45ppm eU, with the central anomalous corridor, including the Saraya JORC resource, showing anomalism of more than 30km. The permit-scale grid pXRF results identified 15 new anomalous targets, currently undergoing infill sampling and drill testing.
Infill TMS is pending
With the completion of the regional-scale sampling, the infill survey grids remain pending. The company anticipates finalising the infill TM sampling in the upcoming dry season.
The infill TMS has focused on the central anomalous uranium corridor. The regional TMS has identified six additional grids to be infilled at a spacing of 200m by 50m. These grids include Bembou, Baraberi, Baraberi North, Kondokho South, Samecouta, and Sekhoto North.
The company has adopted a four-stage exploration process. Stage 1 involves regional TMS, while Stage 2 focuses on infill TMS. The company is now approaching Stages 3 and 4, which involve auger drilling and RC drilling. These stages create opportunities for further uranium deposit discoveries within the more than 30km corridor of uranium anomalism, including 16 uranium prospects identified in Stage 1 exploration.
HAR shares traded at AU$0.072 apiece on 10 July 2024.
