Catalina Resources Ltd (ASX:CTN) has achieved a significant milestone at its Laverton Project with the finalisation of follow up aircore drilling at E38/3697. The 1,801 metres campaign involved 27 aircore holes, aimed at testing rare earth element (REE) and gold targets.

Samples from the drill holes were collected in 4-metre composites downhole and sent to the Perth-based Bureau Veritas Laboratory for evaluation. The samples were analysed for trace amount of gold, nickel, and REE by utilising methods AR001 and AR102, which employs an Aqua Regia digest with an ICP-MS finish.
Additionally, 1-metre splits of each sample were taken and stored for potential follow-up analysis. Assays are expected in approximately 8 weeks.
Background of drilling at Laverton Project
E38/3697 is a 15-sub block tenement, spanning nearly 45km2 within the Laverton Gold province, Western Australia. This area hosts multiple renowned deposits of REE, nickel and gold elements, including Wallaby, Windara Nickel, Sunrise Dam and the Mt Weld REE deposit. The Mt Weld REE deposit is amongst the highest-grade REE deposit globally with a mineral resource of 54.7 million tonnes at 5.3% TREO.
