Cleantech innovator Carbonxt Group Limited (ASX:CG1) has secured AUD 600,000 in additional funding through a placement of fully paid ordinary shares, supporting further investment in New Carbon Processing, LLC. The placement was backed by the company’s major shareholder, Phelbe Pty Ltd, along with several high-net worth investors.
Details of the Capital Raise
Under the placement, 6,666,667 shares have been issued at an issue price of AUD 0.09 per share.
The issue price represents a discount to recent market prices, equating to a 10% discount to the last closing price of AUD 0.10, a 7.9% discount to the five-day volume weighted average price (VWAP) of AUD 0.098, and a 6.8% discount to the 10-day VWAP of AUD 0.097, all calculated up to 2 January 2026, the last trading day prior to the announcement.
Increasing Ownership in New Carbon Processing
One of the key objectives of this funding is to increase the company’s investment in New Carbon Processing, LLC. The company will deploy USD 250,000 of the proceeds to lift its ownership stake in the entity to 46.7%. Remaining funds will be utilised for general working capital purposes.
New Carbon Processing Facility Update
The New Carbon Processing facility in Kentucky is progressing toward commissioning campaigns. Following initial start-up activities, certain remediation measures and additional works have been identified. These works are currently being advanced to support the upcoming commissioning campaigns and to ensure redundant operational capability.
The company noted that these activities are part of the normal commissioning process as the facility moves toward operational readiness.
