Highlights
- Revolver Resources intersects >9m of intense classic VMS stockwork mineralisation at Larramore discovery hole drilled into C3 Target over multiple downhole intervals.
- Also, pervasive sulphide mineralisation has been noted over >260m of the 290m drill hole length.
- As per assay results, regular copper and gold mineralisations are present in the heavily altered volcanic host rock, hinting at a large-scale hydrothermal system.
- The company has also unveiled a strong off-hole conductor proximate to 23LMDD001, as per the downhole electromagnetic (EM) survey work.
- RRR is planning to begin a 2,000m diamond drilling program next month, for follow-up drilling at C3 Target and testing of the broader suite of high-priority EM targets.
Revolver Resources Holdings Limited (ASX:RRR) today released an update sharing details of the ongoing exploration activities targeting a large-scale VMS system at its Dianne Copper Project, Queensland.
The company recently received core assays as well as downhole electromagnetic survey results for the discovery hole (23LMDD001) drilled into the C3 Target within the Larramore Volcanic Belt area.
VMS Conceptual Model for the Larramore Volcanic Belt
Heli-EM target identification
In H2 2022, the company had concluded a high-resolution helicopter electromagnetic and magnetic data survey covering 37 km2 of prospective ground located within EPM 27411 and EPM 27291 at the Dianne Project.
Several discrete, prominent ‘Late-Time’ conductivity anomalies were identified during the analysis of this EM survey data. Around 16 high-priority bedrock anomaly targets have been interpreted to be consistent with an accumulation of sulphides and provide compelling shallow VHMS-style targets, says the company.
C3 Target
Pervasive hydrothermal alteration is evident throughout the diamond drillhole at the C3 Target hole and associated with weakly mineralised stockwork veining and disseminated copper and gold mineralisation with numerous narrow zones of strong sulphide mineralisation (containing pyrite-pyrrhotite-chalcopyritesphalerite).
It has been interpreted that the zones hold a VMS affinity, albeit not marking a primary VMS stratigraphic horizon.
Significantly anomalous mineralised zones returned assay results of:
- 96m @ 0.12 g/t Au and 212 ppm Cu and 4.21% Mn (112.87m - 113.83m)
- 83m @ 0.11% Cu (263.2m – 264.03)
- 82m @ 0.32 g/t Au and 553 ppm Cu (264.03m – 264.85).
A Besshi-style geochemical affinity supported by these results are identified by weakly anomalous/elevated Au-Cu-Zn-Ba-Mn-Co signature, similar to what appears at the distal portions of the Dianne deposit. According to Revolver Resources, ‘these results are highly encouraging for the first scout hole into the target and are indicative of the potential presence of a proximal stratigraphic VMS horizon’.

C14 Target
One (1) diamond hole was also drilled into the C14 Target to a depth of 192.5 metres (23LMDD002). The assay results include 0.85m @ 0.18 g/t Au and 202 ppm Cu (89.0m - 89.85m), 0.20m @ 0.23 g/t Au, 131 ppm Cu and 323 ppm Zn (89.85.2m – 90.05) and 0.50m @ 0.40 g/t Au (93.0m – 93.5).
A 2,000m diamond drill program is set to commence in late May, focused on these high-priority EM targets in the Larramore Belt (including the off-hole conductor at 23LMDD001). A trackmounted diamond drill rig is already on site in preparation.
