This recognition highlights CERENERGY® as one of the greenest battery technologies available, with the lowest supply chain requirements, minimal carbon footprint and eco-friendly raw materials.
The company emphasises that this rating, achieved in collaboration with its partner Fraunhofer IKTS, serves as a validation of Altech’s CERENERGY® business strategy and its long-term commitment to developing sustainable battery solutions.
The "Dark Green" rating from S&P underscores the critical role that battery storage plays in the transition of the power and industrial sectors. The rating also reflects the CERENERGY® battery’s contribution to the development of alternatives to cobalt-free and lithium-ion batteries, along with its fossil-free direct production process and low expected emissions.
ATC shares were up over 2% to AUD 0.046 at the time of writing on 24 January 2025.
