Altech Batteries Ltd (ASX: ATC, FRA: A3Y) has shared an update on the Silumina AnodesTM plant calciner design, located in Saxony, Germany and a definitive feasibility study (DFS) for the planned Silumina AnodesTM 10,000tpa plant.
ATC informed that it has concluded the final design phase for the front-end calciners and corresponding layout. The calciners play a significant role in the Silumina AnodesTM process as they facilitate the conversion of aluminium chloride, which is present on the surface of silicon and graphite particles, into alumina.
Silumina AnodesTM DFS is progressing as planned, and significant progress has been made. ATC has received final quotations from essential suppliers. Also, the conclusive design of the site and civil infrastructure is underway.
Arikon has commenced dialogue with regulatory authorities to begin the Schwarze Pumpe’s permitting process.
The company said it has witnessed favourable backing and cooperation from regulatory and local authorities.
ATC shares traded 1.49% up at AU$0.068 apiece at the time of writing on 29 August 2023.
