The metaverse and NFTs have become quite popular in the cryptoverse. Projects providing these services include Decentraland and The Sandbox. Aside from these, there are other less popular projects with similar offerings.
For example, the STEPN app is into what it calls “move-to-earn”. Another project, dotmoovs, claims it is an app that enables sporting competitions in the metaverse. As of writing, dotmoovs’ native token MOOV is gaining sharply. Let’s know more.
What is dotmoovs?
According to the project’s official website, it provides a metaverse where players can compete in sports like freestyle football. Dancing competitions are also said to be a part. It uses an artificial intelligence (AI) algorithm that can interact with the smartphone camera of the user.
The dotmoovs ecosystem also offers NFTs to users. These NFTs, which come in the shape of balls, can be bought using the native MOOV token.
The MOOV token is said to be trading on exchanges like Uniswap and PancakeSwap.

MOOV token price
As of writing, the dotmoovs crypto is witnessing a big jump in its price, rising over 25% in the past 24 hours to hit US$0.02. Besides, its trading volume during this period has gone up by over 500%.
MOOV is not as big as Decentraland and The Sandbox, which have billion-dollar plus market cap. The market cap of dotmoovs crypto is nearly US$9.6 million, as of writing. It is estimated that 496 million MOOV tokens are currently in supply.
Why is dotmoovs rising?
One of the causes behind the surge could be the MOOV token’s listing on KuCoin exchange. It is also being said that KuCoin and dotmoovs are running a promotion where some MOOV tokens and NFTs can be availed for free by the winners of tournaments.

Bottom line
dotmoovs is a new project and is yet to become as big as some metaverse tokens like MANA. In 2022 so far, the native MOOV token has remained volatile, with its price even reaching US$0.08 in April. The recent surge can be attributed to the token’s listing on the KuCoin exchange. How it fares in the long term and competes with large cap metaverse tokens is a wait-and-watch game.
