Highlights:
- Significant Discovery: High-grade gold lodes have been confirmed at the Little Gem site within the Riverina project through a diamond drilling program conducted deep below the surface.
- Exploration Expansion: A follow-up drilling program will include multiple drill holes to explore an extensive mineralized zone, extending known strike lengths.
- Strategic Investment: Funding has been allocated to advance drilling and resource definition at Davyhurst, supporting continued development.
Ora Banda Mining (ASX:OBM) has reported significant gold mineralization at the Little Gem site , part of its Riverina project. The diamond drilling program has confirmed two distinct lodes, marking a major development within the area. These results indicate an extension of the mineralized zone, with new drilling uncovering previously unexplored depths.
One of the standout drill holes, LGDD25005, recorded an intersection measuring more than twenty meters with gold concentrations averaging multiple grams per tonne. This included a core section of several meters with even higher grades. Additional assay results from other drill holes have also been received, contributing to the overall geological model.
Expansion of Exploration Activities
To build on these results, Ora Banda has outlined a new drilling campaign that will include multiple additional drill holes. The objective is to examine the full extent of the mineralized system within the broader Riverina project.
The exploration area spans several kilometers, connecting multiple deposits and extending the known strike length. This program will focus on confirming mineral continuity while also testing deeper geological structures. The ongoing evaluation aims to provide further clarity on the mineralization trends present in the region.
Funding Allocated for Project Development
A capital investment has been dedicated to expanding the exploration program at Davyhurst, allowing for continued assessment of the Riverina project. This financial commitment supports drilling and resource definition efforts, reinforcing the strategic focus on exploration.
The initiative aligns with previous work in the region, including government-supported exploration efforts. Drilling activities will take place over several weeks, with results expected upon completion. The focus remains on detailed geological analysis to understand the full extent of gold mineralization at Little Gem.
Future Outlook for the Riverina Project
The next phase of exploration will cover multiple drill meters across the strike length of Little Gem. The primary objective is to refine geological models and evaluate mineralization across different depths.
Drilling efforts will also extend beneath the Sunraysia deposit, further enhancing the geological understanding of the area. As operations continue, additional insights will emerge regarding the resource potential within the project.
