High-grade gold intercepts confirmed through ongoing infill and extensional drilling
Campaign focused on Star of Erin and O2 Lodes within Norseman Gold Project
OK Underground Mine continues to deliver grade improvements and growth in mineralisation
Pantoro Ltd (ASX:PNR, OTC:PNTOF), an Australia-based gold producer, continues to progress its drilling campaign at the OK Underground Mine, part of the Norseman Gold Project located in Western Australia. The mining operation belongs to the broader gold mining sector and is fully owned and operated by the company.
Drilling efforts are focused on the expansion of mineralised structures at the Star of Erin and O2 Lodes, located within the historically rich Norseman field. The current campaign represents a major step following the feasibility study completed in earlier stages of project planning. A dedicated diamond drill rig remains active, targeting areas beyond the established Ore Reserve and Mineral Resource boundaries.
Strong Assay Results Support Ongoing Development
Recent core sampling has uncovered multiple high-grade gold zones. Intercepts include thick mineralised sections with visibly laminated quartz veins hosting free-milling gold. Drill data shows gold content across several levels of depth, particularly in structurally favourable extensions along strike and down-dip of previous drill lines.
Additional results have confirmed high concentrations of gold across narrow widths, supporting the geological continuity of the mineralised system. These outcomes continue to demonstrate the effectiveness of the extensional and infill strategy currently being implemented across the Norseman lease.
Production Tracking Above Initial Expectations
Since the restart of mining activities at OK Underground in mid-2022, the site has exhibited strong production performance. Operational output has exceeded expectations set during the planning stage. Mined grades have remained above the reserve thresholds, supporting production from both the Star of Erin and O2 Lodes.
The increase in production metrics has been driven by targeted grade control and development drilling. The overall mineralised structure continues to show increased width, strike length, and consistency in grade across several lode systems. This structured approach has contributed to a rising trend in the mine’s Ore Reserve profile since the commencement of operations.
Historical Significance and Modern Infrastructure
Located approximately a short distance from the Norseman Processing Plant, the OK Underground Mine benefits from modern infrastructure and established transport links. The mine’s orientation trends from northeast to east, with sub-vertical reef structures offering favourable conditions for mechanised underground mining.
Originally opened in the early part of the twentieth century, the OK Mine saw renewed development through the latter half of the century. After several dormant phases, commercial mining resumed following the latest feasibility work, with a specific focus on key lodes now under development.
Continuous Expansion Within Strategic Location
With drilling activity still underway, Pantoro Ltd is executing its first fully dedicated extensional campaign since the release of the original feasibility study. The operation remains centred on expanding known gold zones and identifying further high-grade zones for extraction.
The strategic location of the Norseman Gold Project, along with continued infrastructure investment, has positioned the company within a key corridor of Western Australia’s goldfields. The ongoing success of drill results adds momentum to the company's broader project development.
Pantoro Ltd (ASX:PNR) remains active within the Mining Stocks, ASX 200 segment, with current operations highlighting its expanding footprint in one of Australia’s oldest gold-producing regions.
