Jake Campbell’s Extensive Underground Mining Expertise
Jake Campbell, a mining engineer with a Bachelor of Engineering Science (Mining) from the University of Ballarat, brings substantial underground mining experience to Rumble Resources. His career includes managing complex underground operations and project development across diverse jurisdictions.
Between 2011 and 2016, Campbell served at Panoramic Resources’ Lanfranchi Nickel Mine, including three years as Mining Manager, where he implemented new mining methods and optimized personnel and plant to enhance production consistency and reduce costs. Since 2019, he has held project management roles with Macmahon covering surface, civil, and underground operations, including managing an underground mine on behalf of clients, project mobilizations, estimating, commercial management, and business development.
Western Queen Gold and Tungsten Project Overview and Ownership
Located 90 kilometres northwest of Mt Magnet within Western Australia’s Yalgoo mineral field, the Western Queen Gold and Tungsten Project is 100% owned by Rumble Resources. It comprises two contiguous mining leases—M59/45 and M59/208—covering 9.8 square kilometres. Adjacent to Western Queen is the Wardawarra Project, also fully owned by Rumble, consisting of three granted exploration licences: E20/967, E59/2816, and E59/3012.
The project is approximately 180 kilometres by road from Gylden’s Kirkalocka gold processing plant, which has a capacity of 2.1 million tonnes per annum and will process Western Queen ore. This proximity to an established processing facility offers operational advantages for project development timelines and economics. Situated within the established Yalgoo mineral field, the project benefits from a region with proven gold mineralisation and mining history.
Historical Production at Western Queen Deposits
Western Queen’s two deposits have a combined historical production of 880,000 tonnes at 7.6 grams per tonne gold, yielding 215,000 ounces. The Western Queen Central Mine produced 660,000 tonnes at 8.9 grams per tonne gold for 189,500 ounces, while the Western Queen South Mine, mined in two stages, produced 220,000 tonnes at 3.6 grams per tonne gold for 25,500 ounces. This track record validates the deposits’ capacity for sustained mining operations and confirms the mineral system’s commercial viability.
The historical production data provides a foundation for current resource estimation and development potential, with the company aiming to unlock additional value through modern underground mining and development of unmined resource areas.
June 2026 Mineral Resource Update and Growth
In June 2026, Rumble announced an updated Mineral Resource Estimate (Indicated and Inferred) of 5.13 million tonnes at 2.6 grams per tonne gold, totaling 433,600 ounces. This update reflects a 54% increase in Indicated Resources, adding 79,700 ounces to reach 2.46 million tonnes at 2.9 grams per tonne gold for 227,700 ounces in the Indicated category compared to the July 2025 estimate.
The upgrade also revealed a new high-grade zone of 145,000 tonnes at 11.3 grams per tonne gold for 52,500 ounces beneath the historical underground workings at Western Queen Central, highlighting additional upside for mine planning and the value of targeted exploration. The increase in Indicated Resources, which carry lower geological risk than Inferred Resources, strengthens the basis for upcoming development studies.
November 2025 Scoping Study Highlights and Financial Metrics
The November 2025 Scoping Study for the Western Queen South underground mine, conducted by Baybridge Mining Services, focused on mining a portion of the resource underground and processing ore at a third-party facility. The Production Target was 617,000 tonnes at 2.95 grams per tonne gold for 58,500 ounces.
The study projected free cash flow of $133 million, an NPV of $112 million at an 8% discount rate, and an IRR of 370% assuming a gold price of A$5,540 per ounce, compared to the then spot price of approximately A$5,850 per ounce. All-in sustaining costs were estimated at A$2,970 per ounce. The study identified low upfront capital expenditure under $10 million and utilized a straightforward underground mine design employing uphole stoping. Notably, only 29% of the July 2025 Mineral Resource at Western Queen South was included, indicating potential for mine life extension.
Permitting Progress and Remaining Approvals
Rumble has submitted all required documentation for underground mining approvals. The Works Approval and Native Vegetation Clearance Approval have been secured, while the Groundwater Licence and Mine Development and Closure Proposal remain pending. Once all permits are granted, dewatering of the Western Queen South open pit will precede cutting the underground portal and decline development.
Peter Harold, Managing Director and CEO, emphasized the company’s full commitment to expediting Western Queen’s production start, with dewatering as the initial key task. Following dewatering, underground development is expected to begin, with first ore reaching the ROM pad approximately six months after portal excavation. Campbell’s appointment is intended to support achieving these operational milestones.
September 2026 Scoping Study Update and Bankable Feasibility Study Plans
Rumble plans to release an updated Scoping Study in the September 2026 quarter incorporating additional ounces from Western Queen South and Central resources, preceding the Bankable Feasibility Study. This update will build on the November 2025 study and integrate the June 2026 resource upgrade results, reflecting the expanded Indicated Resource base.
The newly identified high-grade zone of 145,000 tonnes at 11.3 grams per tonne gold at Western Queen Central is expected to be included in the updated mining inventory. This phased approach from Scoping Study to Bankable Feasibility Study aligns with industry standards for advancing projects toward production decisions and funding. The September 2026 update will be pivotal in demonstrating how the expanded resource impacts mine planning and project economics.
Tungsten Resource Potential and Future Revenue Streams
Rumble has announced a maiden tungsten Mineral Resource Estimate at Western Queen, although full details were not disclosed. Tungsten mineralisation offers a potential future revenue stream to complement gold production. The company highlighted the project’s potential to become a significant gold mine with added tungsten revenue possibilities.
This dual-commodity potential provides strategic flexibility and could enhance long-term economics if tungsten extraction and processing prove viable alongside gold operations. Current development prioritizes gold, with tungsten evaluation incorporated into longer-term planning.
Management Commentary on Campbell’s Appointment and Strategic Vision
Peter Harold, Managing Director and CEO, praised Campbell’s underground mining expertise, team-oriented leadership, safety focus, and previous collaboration at Panoramic Resources’ Lanfranchi Nickel Mine. Harold noted Campbell’s broadened skills and readiness for the General Manager Operations role.
Campbell expressed enthusiasm about joining Rumble during its transition to developer status, describing Western Queen as having substantial potential to become a major gold-producing mine. He looks forward to applying his project development and operational skills to build a safe, efficient, and profitable mining operation, aligning with Rumble’s strategic goals for project advancement and production commencement.
