On 21 February 2020, ASX in partnership with S&P Dow Jones Indices launched a new technology sector index, the S&P/ASX All Technology Index.
The index is expected to go-live on 24 February 2020 (Monday) with 46 constituents having a combined market capitalisation of more than $100 billion.
Mr Dominic Stevens, CEO and Managing Director, ASX, mentions that there has been around 10 percent of the annualised total return from the S&P/ASX 200 over the three years gone by.
Further, he stated that if the S&P/ASX All Technology Index had existed earlier, it would have returned more than 20 percent for the same timeframe.
