Newcrest’s Gold Production Tumbles by 23 per cent in the September 2019 quarter

Newcrest Mining Limited’s (ASX: NCM) gold production stood at 512k ounces during the September 2019 quarter, down by 23 per cent against the previous quarter.

  • Copper production during the quarter declined by 14 per cent to stand at 25k tonnes.
  • The all-in sustaining cost (AISC) of the group surged by USD 179 per ounce to stand at USD 899 per ounce, while the AISC margin for the group was at USD 537 per ounce.
  • In August 2019, the company took 70 per cent stake in the Red Chris Gold Prospect in Canada.

NCM took a hit after posting the results to trade at $32.065 (1:31 PM AEST), down by 1.46 per cent from its previous close.
