Contact Energy Releases Operating Report for June 2020

As per its June operations update, Contact Energy Limited (ASX:CEN) shall continue to consider repercussions of possible closure of NZ’s Aluminium Smelter from 31 August 2021 on CEN’s earnings and dividends. For June 2020:

  • Customer business recorded mass market electricity and gas sales of 447 GWh compared to 453 GWh in June 2019
  • Wholesale electricity sales, including that sold to the Customer business, totalled 829 GWh as compared to 834 GWh in June 2019
  • Wholesale business recorded electricity and steam net revenue of $94.80/MWh compared to $94.83/MWh in June 2019
