Chile Copper Production Up 3.9 Per Cent Since January 2020

Chile- the world’s largest copper producer kept production steady for May 2020 as compared to the previous corresponding period- says Cochilco, a state copper agency.

  • As per the recent data from the agency, the mining giant produced 492,500 tonnes of copper from its sprawling mines in May 2020, up by a unit per cent against the previous corresponding period.
  • The copper output from Chile rose 3.9 per cent since the onset of the year 2020 to reach 2.4 million tonnes.
