The ACCC has filed an appeal to the Full Federal Court against the latest first instance verdict of the Court related to Quantum Housing Group involved in unconscionable conduct in its dealings with investors regarding the National Rental Affordability Scheme in breach of the Australian Consumer law.
On 9 June 2020, Quantum Housing was found guilty for making false representation and had to pay A$700,000 in penalties and Director Cheryl Howe to pay A$50,000 for being intentionally concerned in the conduct and was banned for 3 years from managing a corporation.
