The most notable Fulton left at Manly is set to exit the NRL club with recruitment boss Scott expected to make an immediate switch to Wests Tigers.

AAP has been told that the son of the late rugby league immortal and Manly legend Bob Fulton, Scott was spotted at Tigers headquarters earlier this week.

He is expected to switch immediately, in a significant shake-at Manly and Wests Tigers' management.

His exit is the latest in several big-name departures out of Brookvale since new CEO Tony Mestrov's arrival last year.

Mestrov entered a club lthat was in the midst of an intense power struggle between the Fultons and coach Des Hasler.

Hasler was axed as coach at the end of last season, before Bob Fulton's daughter Kristie was controversially sacked as pathways coordinator last October.

The move prompted a public backlash against the NRL club by close friends of the Fulton family.

Bob Fulton's other son Brett remains at Manly as coach of the club's SG Ball side, while Scott's son Zac is also on-contract as part of Manly's top-30 squad.

Scott Fulton's move has the potential to be critical for both the Sea Eagles and Tigers.

The Fulton family remains close with players who have been brought in through the Blacktown feeder program, having been staunch supporters of the system.

Graduates of that program include Josh Schuster, Haumole Olakau'atu and the Fainu family.

Even if Fulton is unable to draw that talent out of Manly, his link to the best young prospects in western Sydney is something the Tigers desperately need.

Fulton's impending exit came as Manly confirmed Geoff Toovey's return to the club in a pathways coaching coordinator role, that will include working with junior coaches.

It will mark Toovey's first work with the Sea Eagles since his own controversial axing as coach at the end of 2015.

"Tooves will oversee the coaching of our best juniors to ensure they are ready for the NRL when their time comes," Mestrov said.

"Tooves has got so much to offer us ... the junior reps program is such an important part of an NRL club."

Manly were also at pains on Sunday to downplay an alleged incident between Schuster and lower-grades player Dean Matterson.

The Daily Telegraph reported that Schuster and Matterson came to blows at Sea Eagles training last week in front of teammates, before Josh Aloiai split up the pair.

Sea Eagles officials claim that the incident has been blown out of proportion, with Schuster currently sat out of reserve grade to recondition his body.
