Abbot Laboratories said that its Q3 2022 net sales fell 4.7 per cent on a reported basis and came to US$ 10.4 billion while increasing 1.3 percent on an organic basis. The company's Q3 2022 financial results also raised the full-year guidance for its earnings-per-share (EPS).
In the third quarter of 2022, the company's total operating cost and expenses were posted at US$ 8,640 million compared to US$ 8,382 million in the same period a year earlier.
The net earnings of Abbott Laboratories in Q3 2022 were US$ 1,435 million versus US$ 2,100 million in the year-ago quarter.
Humana Inc. (NYSE:HUM)
Humana is among the largest private health insurers in the US, primarily administering Medicare Advantage plans. The firm is actively involved in products around government-sponsored programs. Humana paid a quarterly dividend of US$ 0.787 per share with a dividend yield of 0.645 per cent.
Humana reported Q3 2022 earnings per diluted common share of US$ 9.39 (GAAP basis). Its adjusted EPS in the reported quarter of 2022 was US$ 6.88. The YTD 2022 EPS of the health insurer was US$ 22.16 (GAAP basis), and it was US$ 23.58 on an adjusted basis.
The GAAP revenue of the company in the third quarter of 2022 was US$ 22,799 million compared to US$ 20,697 million in the corresponding quarter in 2021.
Humana's pre-tax income (GAAP) in Q3 2022 was reported at US$ 1,297 million versus US$ 1,636 million in Q3 2021.
