  • Magal Security Systems (NASDAQ: MAGS) surged 11.33% to close at US$5.11 at 4:00 pm ET.
  • Travere Therapeutics (NASDAQ: TVTX) closed at US$17.82, up 15.34%, at 4:00 pm ET.

The NASDAQ composite index closed at 14,793.76, down 0.20%, while the NASDAQ 100 closed at 15140.77, up 0.03%, on Aug 16, 2021.

The following are among the top three gainers on NASDAQ Monday.

GoHealth, Inc. (NASDAQ: GOCO) rose 20.88% to close at US$4.92 at 4:00 pm ET.

The company provides a health insurance marketplace. Its revenue segments are Medicare-Internal, Medicare-External, IFP and Other-Internal, and IFP and Other-External.

It has a market capitalization of US$1.58 billion and a forward P/E ratio of 5.73.

Its June quarter revenue was US$196.9 million, a 55% growth over the previous year’s revenue of US$127.06 million. The net loss incurred was US$39.18 million compared to the net loss of US$22.87 million.

Its adjusted EBITDA was US$14.34 million compared to US$26.94 million in the same quarter the previous year. The company’s cash and cash equivalents were US$112.86 million.

The stock gave a negative 63.62% return YTD.

Magal Security Systems Ltd. (NASDAQ: MAGS) surged 11.33% to close at US$5.11 at 4:00 pm ET.

The company has a market capitalization of US$118 million and a P/E ratio of 12.46. Its current dividend yield is 17.63% and its annualized dividend is US$0.809.

MAGS develops, manufactures, and sells computerized security systems. The products include cyber and physical security, safety, and site management solutions. It has three business segments namely Perimeter products, Turnkey projects, and Video and Cyber- Security.

Its revenue for the June quarter of 2021 was US$10.1 million compared to US$7.72 million in the second quarter of 2020. The net income was US$11.79 million or US$ 0.51 per share diluted compared to US$83 thousand or US$0.01 per share diluted in the June quarter previous year.

The cash and cash equivalents were US$50.47 million and zero debt as of June 30, 2021.

The stock gave a 31.70% return YTD.

Travere Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ: TVTX) was among the top gainers on NASDAQ. It closed at US$17.82 up 15.34% at 4:00 pm ET, today. 

The share jumped on announcing its positive interim results from Ongoing Phase 3 PROTECT study of Sparsentan in IgA Nephropathy. The company has a market capitalization of US$1 billion. 

This biopharmaceuticals company focuses on developing and commercializing life changing therapies for people with rare kidney, liver, and metabolic diseases.

Its net product sales for the June quarter 2021 was US$54.6 million compared to US$48.4 million for a year ago period. The net loss incurred was US$39.01 million or US$0.64 per diluted share compared to US$26.07 million or US$0.58 per diluted share in the same quarter previous year.  

The cash and cash equivalents were US$522.8 million as of June 30, 2021.

The stock lost 34.62% YTD.   


GOCO and MAGS declined in aftermarket hours trading after closing at a considerable high. TVTX, on the other hand, continued its upward movement to close at US$17.85, up 0.17%.
