Shares of Visa and Mastercard under pressure on the back of a Wall Street Journal report that retailers like Amazon and Walmart are exploring issuing their own stable coins. The ability for retailers to make this move hinges on the passing of the Genius Act.

If approved, payment processors like Visa and Mastercard could miss out on billions in transaction fees. Archer Aviation announcing that it raised $850 million through a direct offering of 85 million shares at 10 bucks apiece. The CEO saying the new capital will allow the company to execute on domestic and international initiatives. This came shortly after President Trump signed an executive order aimed at boosting electric air taxis. And new registrations for Tesla's EVs in the US fell by 16% in April.

That's according to a report from S&P Global. Meanwhile, sales of GM's EVs jumped by over 200% during that time frame. This comes as Tesla's popularity has waned in Europe and China as well.
