Union Jack Oil Plc releases an update on Extended Well Test at the West Newton A-2

  Union Jack Oil Plc (LON: UJO) has released an update on the Extended Well Test at the West Newton A-2 appraisal discovery well.
  • The company has reported that completion and Extended Well Test operations on the Kirkham Abbey formation in the West Newton A-2 well, which is situated in East Yorkshire, were temporarily suspended in August 2019.
  • In the primary stages of completion and testing, it became apparent that the Kirkham Abbey formation was a reservoir containing a 20-metre gas column overlying a 45-metre liquid hydrocarbon column. Though gas flow to the surface was achieved and was flared during operations; reservoir fluids were not recovered due to equipment availability.
  • On 18th December 2019, at the time of writing, GMT 08:06 AM, UJO shares were trading at GBX 0.15, down by 0.01 points or 9.09% against the previous day closing price.
