• For a power outage, the energy regulator said on 3rd January 2020, that it has fined three electricity suppliers a total consideration of £5 million in August 2019. This will be caused by transport chaos and also affected one million customers.
  • Ofgem (the regulator) said that Hornsea One Ltd, RWE and UK Power Networks have consented to pay the sum for failing to stay connected after the lightning strike that caused the outage, and for a technical breach of rules.
