Aviva Plc completes the sale of Friends Provident International Limited.

Aviva Plc (LON: AV.) has informed about the completion of the sale of Friends Provident International Limited.

  • The company has completed the sale of Friends Provident International Limited (FPIL) to a subsidiary of International Financial Group Limited, RL360 Holding Company Limited.
  • The company has stated that as per the revised structure sold a 76 per cent shareholding in FPIL to International Financial Group Limited for £259 million.
  • The amount received includes £209 million in cash and £50 million in deferred cash consideration.
  • The company has also stated that the completion of the transaction under the revised structure will result in minimal impact on its Solvency II capital surplus and IFRS book value.
  • On 16th July 2020, at the time of writing, GMT 10:41 AM, shares were trading at GBX 291.60, down by 2.40 points or 0.82% against the previous day closing price.
