The United States crude oil and distillate inventories rose sharply and unexpectedly while the demand took a toll for the week ended 17 July 2020- EIA.
- The U.S. commercial crude oil inventory climbed by 4.9 million barrels to reach 536.6 million barrels for the same period.
- Likewise, distillate stockpiles surged by 1.1 million barrels to reached 177.9 million barrels for the week ended 17 July 2020, representing the highest level since December 1982.
