New Zealand Confirms to Host Virtual APEC 2021

The global disorder caused by the ongoing COVID-19 crisis such as border restrictions, led the New Zealand government's decision to host APEC 2021 virtually using the digital platforms.

The announcement today was made by Trade and Export Growth Minister David Parker and Foreign Affairs Minister Winston Peters and Trade.

The pandemic has changed the way nations conduct international diplomacy that also includes hosting APEC. Similar to other government events, APEC21 will take place using virtual platforms.
