Willis Towers Watson, an international advisory, broking, and solutions firm, has roped in Lee Garvey as the head of financial solutions for ANZ.
Lee Garvey has re-joined the Company after leaving in 2012. In between, he worked with a global insurance broker, Marsh, where he was working as the head of lenders solution for Asia.
Mr Garvey holds specialisation in defined credit & political risk insurance and has worked with big corporates, investment banks and funds.
Roles and Responsibilities of Lee Garvey
As a leader of financial solutions for ANZ at Willis Towers Watson, the roles & responsibility of Mr Garvey include:
- Growth of the financial solutions business throughout the Australasia zone.
- Manage the expansion of the entire products within the financial solutions global line of business (LOB) in the area, which includes:
- credit & non-payment insurance
- political risk insurance
- commercial surety
- terrorism & political violence
- lenders insurance advisory.
In his new role, Mr Garvey would report to Fabien Conderanne, who is the head of financial solutions for the APAC region of Willis Towers Watson.

The company recently announced investing in low carbon transition analytics by taking the handover of Climate Policy Initiative’s Energy Finance unit and its top modelling & data solutions. It intends to provide low carbon transition analytics to corporates, financial institutions & public sector customers.
The inclusion of low carbon analytics, expertise plus relations of CPI Energy Finance would allow the Company to aid business to evaluate their market coverage to a low carbon transition procedure. It would allow the public as well as the private sectors to assess, steer and communicate their transition paths in the years and in the upcoming decades.
The Company highlighted that the step taken by the Company was part of its ongoing strategy of investing in skillset as well as in superior data and analytics area to assist clients in creating a strategic response to climate change.
