A group of teenagers including a 13-year-old boy are facing charges over an alleged Good Friday crime spree across Melbourne.

The spree took place in several suburbs of the city's east with the teens allegedly stealing cars and committing armed robberies over the span of several hours, police say.

A group of five teenagers was arrested in Pakenham shortly after 3pm driving a stolen Audi, Victoria Police said in a statement.

A stolen BMW and its occupants are yet to be apprehended, according to police.

The group allegedly stole two cars in Kooyong, damaged windows and other vehicles in Brighton East before committing armed robberies in Knox.

A 13-year-old Dandenong boy was charged with aggravated burglary, two counts of theft of motor vehicle, attempted armed robbery and reckless conduct endangering serious injury.

A 14-year-old boy from Catani was charged with dangerous driving while being pursued by police, two counts of theft of motor vehicle and reckless conduct endangering serious injury.

A 15-year-old Springvale South boy was charged with attempted car jacking and theft of motor vehicle.

All three were were denied bail and will face children's court at a later date.

A 15-year-old Dandenong boy and 16-year-old Hallam girl were also charged with theft of motor vehicle.

They were granted bail and will also appear before a children's court.
