SpaceX and Tesla Founder, Elon Musk, has hinted at a new tech venture, which will potentially shake up the industry.
Tongues were set wagging when Musk used the Twitter platform to ask his followers whether a new platform was needed, which consequently sparked a passionate debate on freedom of speech.
The outspoken billionaire pinned the question to his Twitter profile on Sunday, just two days after he posted a poll asking his followers if they thought Twitter “rigorously adheres” to the principle of free speech, also urging his 79 million followers to vote carefully.
It’s become a pattern of behaviour for the world’s richest man to use the Twitter platform to question its own value. On 24 March, he shared another poll asking if people thought the Twitter algorithm should be an open source.
Several of Musk’s followers responded to the billionaire, asking whether he would consider building a new social media platform, to which Musk replied, he was giving serious thought to doing that.
