  • The Australian Immigration Minister has cancelled the tennis star’s visa, considering a possible threat to public health.
  • Djokovic's lawyers have argued that the Government failed to consider Djokovic's view on his vaccination.

Tennis star Novak Djokovic’s Visa conundrum ended in disappointment as Immigration Minister Alex Hawke revoked his visa on Friday, for the second time.

Hawke believes that the tennis star's presence in the country is an inevitable threat to public health, as his anti-vax stance can prompt people not to get vaccinated.

Tennis champion Novak Djokovic's legal team is challenging Djokovic's visa cancellation in a hearing. The lawyers argued that Djokovic's removal might influence anti-vax campaigners further.

The government lawyer Stephen Lloyd put forth hid points mentioning how the Serbian tennis player didn’t isolate himself despite testing positive on December 16. This argument was made based on a social media post in which Djokovic confessed to attending a media interview and photoshoot, despite knowing his Covid tests have come back positive. The player also took off his face during the photoshoot.

Djokovic's legal team has already wrapped up their case focusing on Government's failure to consider his visa cancellation, which may motivate the anti-vax campaign in the country.
