- Background to service development
The Vietnamese economy has experienced remarkable growth in recent years, spurring a rapid increase in logistics needs across a variety of industries, including manufacturing and retail sales. The logistics networks linking the country's north and south are in particularly high demand as key routes between manufacturing bases and consumption centers. As a result, road traffic in Vietnam suffers from severe and chronic congestion, adding to the time and cost of truck transport. In addition, a new environmental protection law came into effect in Vietnam in 2022, requiring companies to make even greater efforts to reduce their environmental impact.

To address these issues and meet the logistics needs of its customers, NX Vietnam has launched a rail transport service that covers the 1,700 km distance between Hanoi in the north and Ho Chi Minh City in the south in about 48 hours (*1). Rail transport is capable of transporting large volumes of cargo with far fewer CO2 emissions than truck transport, helping to reduce companies' environmental impact.

- Overview of rail transport service
Route: Between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City (approximately 1,700 km)
Frequency of transport: Daily (except Mondays)
Transport time: Approximately 48 hours (between Yen Vien Station in Hanoi and Song Than Station in Ho Chi Minh City)
CO2 emissions: Approximately one-fifth those of truck transport (*2)

- Features of service
Reliable transport quality: Lower susceptibility to traffic congestion contributes to supply chain stability
High transport frequency: Daily service, except Mondays
Improved logistics efficiency: Bulk shipment capability for greater logistics efficiency
Reduced environmental impact: Reduced CO2 emissions to support customers' sustainability management

The NX Group will continue providing high-quality logistics services to meet the needs of its customers even as it strives to cut CO2 emissions, achieve sustainable societies, and grow alongside local communities around the world.

Notes:
(*1) This transport time is between Hanoi's Yen Vien Station and Ho Chi Minh City's Song Than Station; door-to-door shipments entail additional time for collection and delivery.

(*2) CO2 emissions from transport between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City are calculated using the NX-GREEN Calculator (a CO2 calculation tool).
